Beef Pasties

From Mom~a big hit with the boys in my life :)
Play with ingredients~my family likes the original, but also leek, broccoli, peas, little chunks of cheese, etc

Use Mom's Oil Pie Crust (or buy a pre-made dough in a pinch)~buy 4 pie crusts or make 2 batches of Mom's dough

Filling makes 4-5 Large Pasties

1 pound raw ground beef
2 good sized potatoes (diced)
1/4 onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
6-8 baby carrots, chopped
salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together (like making meatloaf)
Divide dough into 4-6 sections (depending on size of pasties desired) and roll each out into a thin circle
Lay pie crusts out on cookie sheet
Divide meat mixture into 4-6 sections and mound each onto pie crust sections.  Seal the dough into calzone-type shapes around the meat mixture
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour (or less if making tiny pasties)

Serve with beef gravy or ketchup if desired
