Cheater's Caramelized Onions

Because I'm usually too lazy (or rushed) to make true caramelized onions. Keith is a huge fan of caramelized onions, so we use these in a lot of things (pizza, pasta, over steak or chicken, etc)

1 thinly sliced onion (red, yellow, white, whatever)
1 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 cup beer (nice and dark is best)
salt and pepper to taste

Cook onions and oil in pan over medium heat until they start to brown and soften a bit. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook & stir 10 minutes or so until the beer is reduced into a sticky sauce and the onions are nice and tender. If beer evaporates before onions are soft, add a little more.
