Swedish Sugar Cookies

From Katie Boyd from her Grandma

Cream together:
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp butter flavoring
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Mix together dry ingredients:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
Slowly blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Roll dough into walnut sized balls. Press down with fork dipped in water to make criss crosses on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
