Mulled Wine

1 bottle of fruity red wine (Syrah, Merlot)
1 cup orange juice
1 cup cranberry juice
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup sugar

in a mesh pocket:
1 large orange (sliced with rind on)
4 cloves
2  cinnamon sticks
2 star anise

Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and stir.  Cover and cook on low for a few hours (don't boil)  Can garnish cups with orange slices and cinnamon sticks
