Broccoli & Cauliflower Salad
- A picnic/potluck standard:
- 5-10 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup fat free sour cream
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 6 cups flowerets of broccoli and cauliflower
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (or sliced water chestnuts)
- 1 carrot shredded (for color)
- 1/2 cup chopped red onion
- 1cup chopped mushrooms
Instructions
- Fry bacon and crumble.
- Place everything but the yogurt & sour cream,blue cheese, sugar and vinegar in a large bowl.
- Make a dressing from the yogurt, sour cream, sugar and vinegar and blue cheese and add to the rest.
- Chill for at least 3-4 hours or preferably overnight.
