Baked Peach French Toast

http://www.lynnskitchenadventures.com/2009/08/overnight-peach-french-toast.html

4 peaches, peeled and sliced

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup butter, melted

2 tablespoons corn syrup

1 loaf french bread~or if desperate, double layer plain old store bought sliced sandwich bread

5 eggs

1 ½ cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Grease 9×13 pan and set aside. In a saucepan, over medium low heat mix and melt brown sugar, butter, and maple syrup. Pour the mixture in the greased pan. Place sliced peaches on top of sugar mixture. Place bread on top of peaches. Mix together eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour over the bread. Try to cover the bread. The bread will soak up the liquid.

Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. In the morning bake covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, uncover and bake 5-10 more minutes. If serving for a crowd/eating all at once, it looks prettier if you invert it onto a serving platter so you can see the pretty baked peaches.
